  The story

  Oat milk, star anise, cassia bark and a very dark Peruvian chocolate that most people find far too bitter on its own. Together they behave. The spices go in whole and steep for ten minutes, so the flavour builds as you drink rather than hitting you at the front. It is vegan, and we would rather not make a performance of that: it is simply the best version of this particular drink, and the oat milk gives it a body that dairy does not. The cheapest thing on our menu, deliberately, because December is expensive enough.
