  The story

  We smoke clementine peel over applewood chips in the same kiln room we fire the pots in, then steep it in milk overnight in the fridge. The next morning that milk tastes like marmalade that has been left too near a fire. It goes into a fairly sweet milk chocolate, because the smoke needs something soft to push against, and it is finished with a strip of the peel that most people eat before they finish the drink. Kids like it more than we expected. So do people who claim not to like orange and chocolate together.
